DVD BACK COVER

1- the main image is a child that went out in the rain to put his  boat in the water he then comes across a clown in a drain which then leads to him offering a balloon which shows what is happening right now in the picture but there is also a group of kids running and the one in front is his older brother and his friends are trying to get him back .

2- 2 thumbnails and showing that they are running from a clown

3- the main image suggests that it is about a kid and a balloon but it is really not

4-by putting something spooky as the cover

5-by saying they key parts of the film and what makes it eye catching and interesting

CODES AND CONVENTIONS RESEARCH 

IMAGERY-

The imagery of the film 'it' has purposely made it so it gives off the topic that it is obvious that it is about a killer clown that hides behind a red balloon.

COLOUR PALETTE-

The colour pallet of this movie is all based around a red balloon so the one bright colour being a bright yellow coat on this little boy who goes up to the clown because of this balloon . the black is mainly to bring fear and darkness into the cover, red to bring a bit of trauma , white to make it look more realistic and yellow to make the young boy stand out .

TYPOGRAPHY-

The typo in this is a very obvious but supposed be scary font , which is supposed to like like an open wound dripping blood.

CHARACTERS-

Villain , killer , kidnapper, victims , parents and outsiders

NARRATIVE-

The storyline of this movie is about a kid that got his arm bit off by a clown after taking his boat down the drain in the middle of a storm which also was perfect weather for the boat as it was paper and has wax to make it make sure it does not sink, when the boys arm got bit of he id then crying on the floor in agonising pain which then triggers the killer clown and drags him into the drain which then he proceeds to kill him but his older brother wont stop until he gets his little brother back .

REPRESENTATION OF PEOPLE-

pennywise-as a killer

beverly-has an abusive father physically and sexually and becomes an outcast

Georgie-innocent little boy who gets killed by pennywise

Bill-is Georgie's older brother and wont stop until he gets him back

Richie-he is supposed to be the brains of the group but drops down once something bad goes on

Eddie- scaredy cat..

2-gender is related quite normally for example all the boys act like stereotypical boys and the girls act very stereotypical girls.

1-my chosen genre is horror it will appear to 15-25 years old because now a days teenagers and young adults are more interested in horror and crime .
